Appointment of Non-executive Board Member
Wiltshire Friendly Society has been a provider of income replacement insurance in the community for over 130 years. We are a mutual insurance society run by a Board of Management for the benefit of over 4,000 memberships.
The Society is now refreshing its Board of Management and has vacancies for several Non-executive Board members.
As a Board member, you would contribute to the future strategy of the Society and be influential in the implementation of the operational plan, also contributing to the effective running of the business in accordance with the Society’s rules and legislation.
We are looking to develop the Board of Management by recruiting individuals with specific skills and experience in each of the following areas:
- Financial Services Sales
- Human Resources
You would need to be able to commit to a minimum of 8 meetings in a year, the corresponding basic annual fee you will receive being £5,769. Additional remuneration is dependent on your commitment and contribution above that minimum requirement, as there is an expectation that you will also be available to join Board Committee meetings and respond and contribute to topical discussion.
You would also be expected to attend a minimum number of meetings in person at the Society’s offices in Trowbridge.
